The Law Offices of Lee Steinberg, P.C. reached an agreement with the city of Lansing to settle a claim for $875,000. The lawsuit was filed in connection to a 2009 car accident involving a Lansing police officer. At the time of the crash, the police officer was going south on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., travelling about 53 mph in a 35 mph zone. The overhead emergency lights were not activated.
Our client sustained serious injuries from the Lansing car accident, including a shoulder injury that required two separate surgeries as well as a knee injury. The case was set for trial earlier this month until an agreement was reached between the parties.
